Suzie Walker Wins Captains Day and GOY in Southside Society

Suzie Walker had a wonderful win for Carrickmines at the Southside Lady Captains Day in Elm Park on 28 April.  Her 39 points won her not just the main prize and Longest Drive but also Golfer of the Year.  This is a fantastic achievement as she was competing against high quality golfers from 16 other clubs.

Other Carrickmines members of this Society are Kerrie Judge, Mya Adams, Joanne Hare, Hilary Gale, Louise Rice and Juliet Overend.

The Southside Society has been going for nearly 50 years and includes members, who have handicap indexes between 9.5 and 18.4, from 16 South Dublin Clubs. The Society is active from September to April and visits a different Dublin club every 3 – 4 weeks during the winter months. There are 120 members and approx. 90 players attend each outing.
